*Software Test Technician
Evaluates and tests software programs to verify that programs function
according to specifications and standards. Responds to inquiries from beta
test sites and technical support by identifying, analyzing, and documenting
defects, questionable functions, errors and inconsistencies in software
program functions, outputs, online screens and content. Possess knowledge of
Freedom Scientific software products: JAWS, Connect Outloud, Open Book,
WYNN, and MAGic with two years assistive technology knowledge a plus.
Relocation assistance is available.
*Technical Support Specialist
Responds to telephone calls and email requests for technical support to
identify, research and resolve technical problems. Interviews user to
collect information about problem and leads user through diagnostic
procedures to determine source of error. Determines whether problem is
caused by hardware such as synthesizer, scanner, or Braille display or by
software such as Windows O/S, Office applications or other . Handles problem
recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine user
problems, referring more complex problems to senior specialist or
supervisor. Logs and tracks calls using problem management database, and
maintains history records and related problem documentation. Must possess
knowledge of Freedom Scientific software products: JAWS, Connect Outloud,
Open Book, WYNN, and MAGic. Knowledge of Windows O/S (Win 9X, Win ME, Win
NT/2000) is required. Relocation assistance is available.
*Dealer Sales Representative
Functions as a liaison between Freedom Scientific and the dealer channel.
Will follow up on calls to dealers via telephone and e-mail to qualify leads
and sell products and services. Receives and answers dealer sales inquiries
and qualifies leads by explaining types of service and products while
providing general pricing and product information and arranges delivery
dates. Informs current and prospective dealers of current promotions and new
or upgraded products.
*Software Engineer
Converts designs and specifications into C++ computer code. Designs or
writes program specifications based on consultations with supervisors,
others programmers, and end users. Working knowledge of Win32 API, OLE, DDE,
MSAA, SAPI, GDI a plus. Experience of 3-5 years software development.
*Inside Sales Representative
Will be responsible for receiving incoming calls and placing resulting sales
orders, as well as making follow-up calls to customers. Requires general
sales and organizational skills. Knowledge of JAWS for Windows Screen Reader
and/or MAGic Screen Magnification Software a plus.
