Yeh, that stuff is nasty. I bought thin sliced beef at the
supermarket, it works pretty well. I tried it first in the
oven, but could not get the temp low enough, the result was
not good. I had a bright sunny day, and put the rest outside
on a rack. It is much better, dried very fast, a few hours.
I keep it in the fridge, but don't know if that is
necessary. I sprinkle powdered salt and pepper mix on it
both to keep flies off, and for the flavor.
