Actually one of the places.
There are several places where agriculture began, after the last ice age.
Like Aethiopia, West Africa, Mesoamerica, East USA, Amazonas, two places in
China....
Independently, all over the world.
Why? Maybe because the new type of human thinking which may have emerged
around 40,000BC enabled us or forced us to do so.
It's very good described in the book of Jared Diamond: "Guns Germs and
Steel", 1997.
