Hi -

What colorings does pedialyte use?  We have one son who NEVER gets over the
runs if he consumes any red dye #40.  Since your son is clearly sensitive
to what he eats, this might be part of the issue.

Your ped. gave you great advice.  Hope the excess laundry ends soon!
