Presently, the only available direct flight from the USA to Banjul is Ghana Airways, and they depart from Baltimore and New York. The one that departs from New York normally cost a little bit more because the fees that Ghana airways pays to JFK is a bit more than BWI.
One can avoid Ghana Airways and fly into Brussels/London and then connect to BJL from anywhere within the United States. This route is longer and normally more expensive. The new airline (Afrinat International) will definitely bring some competition for Ghana Airways and with their lower fares, which I know is temporary will make fares to BJL much cheaper for sometime and even lower if purchased through a travel agent.
We are presently very limited when it comes to getting tickets to BJL from the United States, but as more airlines starts servicing BJL, fares will come out to be lower and easily accessible to us travel agents at lower costs..
About selling tickets for someone living from BJL, We can do that, but it is 99.9% cheaper to buy the tickets from the country where the flight is originating from. Therefore those traveling from BJL to anywhere worldwide should try to purchase their tickets from BJL until Cham Travel establishes an office there which is in the making. I did have several callers asking me for tickets from other countries outside the USA to other destinations. I always advise them to try and get it from their originating city since it will be cheaper.
Finding the cheapest and efficient way to travel is what we do for our clients. If we can't get it for you, we will tell you where to get.
