BOTH.

The common thread amongst buildings the world over is
that where Carrara marble is used in thicknesses less
than about 40mm, in larger panels or smaller, it
begins to bow.

I'm fascinated to hear about a building with 100 year
old thin marble cladding bowing. Most of the ones I
was aware of were no older than 20-40 years (Amoco;
Finlandia Hall; a concert hall in Washington - or was
it New York; buildings here in Australia).

I'd really like to hear more from Mike about this
project when he gets back. Particularly with regard
to the conservation approach to such a challenge.

Cheers
