    Hi David,

Yes once menue 51 A is set to 64 pressing the pf key will read s-meter.  As
has been said by others you can still get freq read out  by pressing enter
twice.  Same result by pressing menu button or one of the mode buttons
twice.

Only one pf key is a flaw with this rig.  Kenwood offers an optional hand
mic with 4 pf keys for mobile use.   Menu 51 B through E set them up..

I once saw a Russian site showing how to build a box to add these four keys
butthe English was very poor and I couldn't figure it out.

I Sometimes set menu 51 A to 77  which allows cw auto-tune to be a one
button process.
