Hi, all.

Can someone tell me how to disable the APO (Automatic Power Off) function on
the THF6A? On page 36 of the manual, it says go to menu 18, and pick either
disable, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.

The other day, when I was programming the rig's memories, I made a mistake,
and had to do a full re-set. That wiped out my preference to disable the
APO function. It's just a real pain to have the rig beeping at you if it is
not used for 30 minutes.

I thought I could get to menu 18 by hitting the menu button, and clicking
the tuning knob 17 clicks counter-clockwise, but I did this twice, and
somehow ended up in menu 19, which turns the "beeps" off. I don't think
I've lost my ability to count. I started with the "beep" in the menu
selection, which I would think means I am at menu 1.

Also, assuming I can get to menu 18, how do you know when you are at the
"disable" choice for the APO function? Is it the low beep, or is that the
default setting which seems to be 30 minutes?

Any help with this would be appreciated.

I am just trying to do this without having to get sighted assistance. You
know, it's just the stubbornness in me! HI! HI! HI!

Thanks much as always and best 73 from Tom Behler: KB8TYJ
