Hi,

My name is Bruce, VE1II located in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada.
A good friend of ours Tom Brazil, VE1TWB had a heart attack this past week-end while resting at a truck stop near Memphis. He had surgery to unblock a couple of arteries and now he is a patient in the hospital there. I believe the name of the hospital is Memphis Baptist Hospital..
Tom has nobody at all in the area and as you can suspect must be feeling pretty alone at this time. He has high hopes of being released very soon but it is our understanding that perhaps his doctors don't see things as opptimistically as Tom does.. Tom's wife has asked if there might be some way he could be visited by an amateur radio operator.
We wonder if there is any chance that someone might live near the hospital or may have a contact person who could pay Tom a short visit.
Tom enjoys amateur radio very much and usually is on the air mobile while on his many long haul trips.
If you could help this would be much appreciated.. Possibly another of the neat ways the IRLP has been such a neat success.
Please let Hal, VE1LV or myself know via node 2370 in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada..

Many thanks and Seasons Greetings

bruce, ve1ii node 2370 owner
