Hi Keith,
   I just purchased a T90-a as well -- I'm enough of a "newby" that I
still have to take my Technition test (next week) - I love the handheld so
far, the code synthesizer for identifying which Freq you're on is
definitely nice.
   The PDF manual available on Icom's web site is pretty accessable too -
you can even read the buttons in the manual (just have to get someone
sighted to help with the display).  I hope to (some time) get the cable
and necessary software to try programming the radio on the computer.
