For the fellow in Michigan interested in hf marine bands:

I have a file with some freqs, but here's some of interest for you:

2182 khz of course.  International calling and distress.
4050 to around 4100 khz:  river boats such as barges etc.  Might be
some stuff on the great lakes too on those freqs, usually evenings.
There's a net for some tow company or such that meets around 7:00 p.m.
est at 4075 khz.

Another net I"ve found is around 8 megahertz.  ARound noon central
time.  Barge tows on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers.  I'll look for
others and post later, but my list is on a different computer.

If you've 20 meter capability look for some of the stations on the
maritime mobile service net 14.300 mhz and they'll be able to help
you.
