----When running SiSoft Sandra Professional Version 2001.5.8.11 in my PC ,
Mobo MS 6528, HDD 60 GB Maxtor, 256 Mb RAM , the following warning appeared.
Warning W225 - The CPU is not a production (release) version but an ES
(engineering sample or alpha/beta silicon) and thus not meant for
distribution or extended usage. Such a CPU may behave differently or contain
bugs/errata; the information displayed may be inaccurate.
Fix: If you have bought this CPU, return it for a production version.
SiSoft Sandra Help File----
I bought it from a trusted source and me myself opened the box, which had no
special label nor anything that might warn about not beeing a production
CPU.
Any comment about those ES CPUs and the way they are distrubuted and
identified?
TIA
Roberto
