Every physiology book I've ever read says that fat does not stimulate insulin
-- carbos and to some extent protein, but not fat. That's why even Reaven
suggests a 40% fat diet for insulin resistance and syndrome X (The only
reason he doesn't suggest saturated fat is his fear that it might raise
cholesterol -- not because of its actions on insulin). BTW, Todd -- have you
had your insulin checked -- both under fasting conditions and challenged??

Namaste, Liz
