The comment about "insulin pie" was made in response to a question I asked
about whether or not hormones added to feedlot meat are harmful.  In an
October 7th posting, Andrew responded by saying something along the lines of
"do they survive stomach acids and cooking? -- that is why diabetics don't
make insulin pie."  The point is that these hormones do not survive heat and
digestion.
