I beg to differ from you.  When you are programming the radio, the
subaudible tones will be read.  For example, to program 151.4, press
function then tone.  Turn the knob, stop and press the button you have
programmed to make the voice talk.  The tone will be read.  Keep doing
this until you come to 151.4.

It's true a sighted person will need to set up two buttons:  (1)  a button
to make the voice talk (2) a button on the mike to act as an "enter."
button.

Once these are set up, the rig can be operated easily.
