 Ananova :

Text messages developed for blind people in Italy

Blind mobile phone users in Italy will soon be able to 'read' text
messages.

The Italian mobile phone company TIM say they have come up with a system
to develop software that can translate text messages into spoken voice

mails.

It was created in conjunction with the National Association for the
Blind.

The service will be free and the chip will also work to translate voice
mail from a blind person into text messages.
