Hey all,
My daughter's birthday falls during passover this year. For us,
passover is really no different (dietarily) from the rest of the year
b/c of the gluten issue and b/c we do eat legumes/rice/corn during
passover, however her birthday party will have to be kitnyot free (no
rice, corn, bean/legume flours.
Has anyone made a cake using any combination of tapioca, potato flour,
potato starch.....and maybe any of the less common ones too like millet
or quinoa?
if so, please share your recipie with me. I have had great luck in
general using regular cake recipies and just subbing gf flours, however
rice has typically been a big part of that...as well as corn starch and
xanthan gum. I dont' want to experiement and have it not turn out (I
hate baking anyway....)
I haven't checked into xanthan gum but I'm guessing it's probably not
KLP.
We did buy a backup cake just in case...but she wants a blue
birthdaycake so.....
:)
