Dear Listmates - thanks to all who answered my posting asking whether
metamucil or citracel were gf.
I received four replies that said citracel was gf and one which said citracel
caplets were gf. I also received two who said that the company told them
that citracel was not gf.
Four replies said that metamucil was gf; one said that only smooth metamucil
was gf. One reply said regular metamucil was not gf, and another said that
metamucil wafers were not gf.
Two people recommended benefiber, one recommended fibercon, one vote for
colace, one for equate (WalMart).
Many people recommended prunes, applesauce, grapes, also popcorn, flax seed
meal (Bob's) and Psylllium husk (taken with LOTS of water).
I've decided until I have time to call the companies, I'll rely on prunes etc
and hope for the best!
Thanks to all who wrote to help, I knew I could count on much support!
