2) Terrace Restaurant at the Radisson Kauai
Food ok, but service poor.
9. Some foods to look for in restaurants in Hawaii:
a) lau laus - always GF - meat and fish in taro leaves with sea
salt and sometimes liquid smoke from Wright's and Wright's
b) lomi lomi salmon - always GF - like salsa with cured salmon and
onions, tomatoes and salt
c) kalua pork is GF when smoked or cooked in the oven with salt
and liquid smoke, but not GF when the flavoring is soy sauce
d) Rice - Look for Diamond G brand, as it is not enriched
but only polished with water
The best places for Hawaiian food are at local restaurants where
they cook with fewer ingredients than hotels.
