Thanks to all the many people who wrote with the welcome information that Zithromax is definitely GF. I can now attest to the same, and to the fact that it worked on my strep throat. In over 25 replies, only one
person had had trouble, GI cramping and I think diarrhea. That is not however a gluten related problem it just happens to be about a 4-5% side effect of this medicine.

With Zithromax the usual 10 day therapy program for strep is reduced to
only 6 pills over five days, a much more convenient regime.
