When my daughter was hospitalized for two days
following an allergic reaction to accidental milk
ingestion, the hospital doctor put her on prednisone
tablets. We later found out that the tablets contained
lactose. It's no wonder it took so long for her lungs
to clear up enough for her to be released! I do not
believe the "not enough to make a difference" theory
for those that are that sensitive to milk protein. I
agree with Alex's recommendation to find another
doctor. That attitude and lack of knowledge in a
physician will come out in something else later that
could be equally dangerous.
