The last time I saw an SSI check was in 1998.  I've been working so much but
still I need to get a second job or get a roommate to help with expenses.  I
work at Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped in Cleveland.  I've
been there for seven years.  I've gone from a two bedroom apartment to a two
bedroom house, to now a four bedroom house.  My boss is strict but if she
sees you are making an effort, she will work with you.  I've gone from 16
hours a week to 35 hours a week.
