Actually, the Tyan Trinity GC-SL (S2707) motherboard supports PCI-X and is a
single P4 (including the 3.06GHz HT). I'm not sure if it's on the market
yet since we received an engineering board for development work about 2
months ago. As an aside, our in-house tests have proved that it plays
nicely with both Windows and the Red Hat 8.0 SMB kernel. It's always
delightful to see the BIOS and O/S report two CPU's when you've paid for
only one. :)

It does not exist. RDRAM was stopped at 850E chipset from Intel, New
chipset from SiS is not yet on mobo, and does not provide what you asked
for. PCI-X only available on server board, but server board does not use
normal P4 CPU, it will use Xeon. decent AGP 8x board will likely be dual
DDR board. You might have to look for something like ASUS P4G8X Deluxe.

You shouldn't need to change CPU, but never bet on it, Intel has full
history to force user change CPU and mobo everytime.
