I asked this a long time ago and was told to just unplug the CAT5.
A switch would be easier, but break all lines. (I think only four
are used, but do not know which four off hand.
WinXP(PRO) will change the Systray Icon for the Network
Connection to have a RED "X" through it. (So you even get
