Although TCP/IP is the most common choice for WAN communications --
it's what the Internet uses -- it is also the most common choice for
LAN use.
(NetBEUI is *only* suitable for LAN use, since it isn't routable,
and IPX/SPX is used by very little besides legacy Novell Netware
systems and some LAN games -- many of which can also use TCP/IP.)
