A word of warning about turkey - the basting stuff often
used commercially is flour based! I use only whole
non-basted turkeys as I cannot trust parts or "cold cuts"
not to have come from one of these wheat contaminated
birds. And, boy, do I know when I have made a mistake:
that's how I got to paleo anyway - wheat products are
guaranteed to make me very ill (both GI symptoms, edema and
blood sugar trouble) within just a couple hours of
ingestion.
