Speaking of carb counting.....
The best GF commercial bread I found on the market (that does not taste
like styrofoam) is Food for Life's Rice Almond bread. Kind of like whole
wheat (never was much of a white bread fan). Unfortunatley... it has a
whopping 22g carb per(small) slice- & 120 calories per slice (yikes)
(For comparison- regular wheat bread nutritional fact label shows 15 g
carbs & 90 calories, per slice)
If I'm making a sandwich I've got 44 carbs & 240 calories before I ever
put ANYTHING in the sandwich.
As a working Mom w/ 2 kids, I don't always have time to make bread from
scratch (yes I have a bread machine) & don't really know that the home
made bread is much less carb & calorie heavy?
Our local grocery store keeps this GF bread in it's freezer section & I
tend to like the convenience.Any other decent yet lower carb/calorie
commercial GF bread anyone can suggest- or am I just dreaming?
