i can see this on both sides. i have cp with lots od dystonia in left back,
sholder, arm, hand and some in left leg. it is quite a strain to sit
straight at my dest to do my work. i now think that maybe this constant
strain has maybe quickened the wear and tear on my soft connective tissues.
on the otherhand some one else with cp but not much dystonia, or distonia in
different places could sit and do this job, no problem like maybe KAT.
in my case my job did some damage in Kats case she might not ever be
effected by the job. both sides of the coin.

Also, Mags, correctable vision is not a chronic illness that is affected
by one's job.  The plantiff in the case I cited had cirrhosis of the
liver that presumeably would have been aggravated by exposure to toxic
chemicals.  The man wanted the job because it would have paid more and
offered better benefits.  However, the company felt there was a
potential liability in the exposure to toxic chemicals and wanted to
avoid the possibility future litigation, which, really, I can't blame
them for.
