EASI Interactive, Synchronous, Voice Web Conference Clinics
Announcing an exciting new venture using Web-based, interactive, voice
conferencing to provide hands-on know-how skills to make online
instructional content more accessible for learners with disabilities. EASI,
(Equal Access to Software and Information), has long taught month-long
online courses, but, now, for those needing short clinics on specific
skills EASI is launching a monthly series of synchronous 60-90-minute
events which will combine an online presentation with the speaker
explaining step-by-step procedures while displaying text and graphic Web
pages demonstrating what is described. Participants can even minimize the
conference window and follow the demonstration on their own computer.
Participants can also use voice or text chat to ask questions of the
presenter.
EASI has designed both an indivudal and an institutional annual membership
to 9 of these events plus a number of other membership speal features.
