August 5 starts the next presentation of EASI's online course on
making multimedia accessible. Providing captions, transcriptions,
descriptive video, access to flash, access to narated PowerPoint and more.
The course makes considerable use of media in order to teach how to make
accessible media. Dick Banks who has long provided accessible media for
EASI is the instructor. Software changes so rapidly that it is difficult
to stay on top of developments and requires continually coming up with
different strategies and tools to provide access for students with
disabilities.
For syllabus and registration, go to:
http://easi.cc/workshop.htm and select the link to the multimedia course.
August 5 also is the start for the course, Barrier-Free E-learning.
