National Business Partnership Matches Talented People With Job
Opportunities
ATLANTA - Jun 05, 2002 - The Home Depot, the world's largest home
improvement retailer, today announced plans to partner with the U.S.
Department of Labor and Employment and Training Administration in support
of its National Business Partnership, a program providing services to
unemployed or dislocated workers seeking jobs.
The Department of Labor will recruit, screen and refer applicants preparing

of working with state and local workforce boards in selected markets
providing future opportunities to unemployed workers.

serving America's workers by connecting them with available jobs," said
Dennis Donovan, executive vice president, human resources, The Home Depot.
"We feel engaging in the National Business Partnership will provide our
company with a broad range of qualified candidates with diverse
backgrounds."
The Home Depot plans to rollout local hiring partnerships across all stores
to help meet its need for 40,000 associates in calendar year 2002. The
company is currently opening a new store every 43 hours and will open 200
