I have 2 PCs, one using Win2K, and another with XP, networked on a D-Link router, which is connected to a cable modem. I have created shares for directories on both and granted everyone full access, but I cannot connect either way. From 2K, the XP PC shows in Computers Near Me, but when I click on it I get Network path not found. It does not show under the workgroup name, to which both PCs belong. From XP, I did have share names from 2K visible at one time, but not accessible. Currently in XP, the lowest level I see is the workgroup, and when I click on it, I get "Workgroup is not accessible. You may not have permissions to...contact the system admin...yada, yada..." I created a connection diskette using the XP wizard, only to find out that it's not usable in 2K.
Win 2K has:
Client for MS Neyworks
Deterministic Network Enhancer
File and Printer Sharing for MS Neworks
TCP/IP
Win XP has:
Client for MS Neyworks
File and Printer Sharing for MS Neworks
TCP/IP
Thanks for any help you may provide.
