Hi,
One other way. Is to use the PCMCIA slot and install a Firewire card
($30) and a Firewire external case ($25+). Not quite as fast as USB 2.0
in data transfer but very close, and others have said on this list that
the Firewire is better for file transfers because of no CPU
interruptions, that USB has to put up with, if I remember this
correctly.

Yes I've used Parallel port (very slow), USB1.1 (faster but not great),
USB 2.0 with PCMCIA card (Extremely fast).
Look at most of the internet sites that sell external hard drive
enclosures
($30-40) and any size hard drive you wish. I can give you more details
if you wish.
