This topic has recently been covered with various opinions expressed. I
can tell you that I have equipment such as yours in my networking lab
where I teach, and Red Hat, Mandrake, and Corel Linux have been install
with no problems. Corel seems to be less of a resource hog. With the
relatively modest hardware, the graphic mode runs rather slowly. For
text mode it works fine. Give it a try and see if it is satisfactory to
your own tastes.
