One thing worth remembering, though, is that many modern plant foods are
starchier and lower in fiber than wild plants.  That and farming has stipped
the soil, resulting in far fewer nutrients than before.  I'm sure a lot of
the plant foods available in the past are gone now, too; how many, I have no
clue.  It's a sad and almost scary commentary when you think about it.

I know that, for me, only ultra-low starch veggies seem to work.  Of course,
if I'd get off my ass and exercise I could probably treat myself to, say,
some fruit from time to time.  I'm too tired and sidetracked from renovating
my mini-mansion to hit the gym right now.  Too bad stress isn't considered
exercise, no?
