Dear All,
There is a new internet virus around and I received the following
information from the server manager at St. Johns:
" Just a casual observation... Over the last two weeks I´ve been seeing
a slow rise in mail related to the "Sober" virus. The English is pretty
poor but the human engineering used to pressure the recipient into
opening the attachment is excellant. The pattern is to unbalance you
emotionally by one of a variety of ploys: you´ve hurt some girls
feelings, been (erroneously) billed for an adult account, slandered
someone or, my favorite, your computer has been probed and found to have
illegal mp3´s or files on it. The below link has lists of the subjects
and matching text, there are better descriptions of the virus elsewhere.

For your information Gambia-l is set to remove all attachments sent to list
subscribers so do not open any attachment thats supposed to come from
anyone unless you are expecting it.
regards,
Momodou Camara
