Folks,
Here's a few words I want to add to Buharry's wonderful tribute to our
brothers and sisters who stood up to uphold their conscience against all
odds. This piece is also a tribute to all those who strongly believe in
their conscience of discerning right from wrong and will not hesitate to
stand up for what is right and just. Here goes........
YOU'RE THE LIGHT AT THE END
You! My dear I cannot rest but commend
For when you said NO! We saw the uptrend
The truth bittersweet you always defend
For it is that upon which all shall depend
When you stood up your ground
I knew you are all that is profound
To be steadfast in your conscience
Against all odds to prove your innocence
For in the end your conscience will prevail
The forces against your guidance to see us derail
Into the wilderness and cruelty of naiveté
Behold you my dear unto your forté
The seedlings you nourish as they grow
In the books of history you shall glow
You're the one huge rock in the battered sea
With the cruel waves of decadence you did not flee
You're the shining star glowing in the loom
Reminding us that all is not gloom
With hopes and inspirations of your broom
To sweep and dust from us that is doom
Your light will brighten the path to end the torments of decadence
Against all odds you stood up firm to uphold your conscience.
