I think my disability would be about 65% of what I'm making now--that would
be the government side. I worked 20 years under Social Security, so I might
get something there. They might be mutually exclusive, I dunno. I do know
that it took a friend of mine 11 months to get her first SSI check from the
time she applied. With what I have in insurance, it would probably be
easier just to take a 25 MPH curve at 90 <g>. Don't worry--that's not going
to happen, but it sure does get discouraging, doesn't it?

It is hard to keep working when you have 10-15 years ahead of you. But Joyce
ran the numbers and I am bringing home $150/month more than I was when I was
working. That's but counting what Cresthaven pays for my part therapy
position. Our problem is we never put back any savings.
