Ralph, Sounds to me as though maybe they should tear it down, put in a
small park with a statue of Edward Durell Stone on horseback or something.

Ruth,
The 2 Columbus Circle (or whatever its address is) bldg is in NYC, more or
less opposite the southwest corner of Central Park. It's the only building
on a very small city block (I would guess about 100' square; it amounts to
a traffic island), and maybe 10-15 stories high. It looks like a tall
block of Swiss cheese with regularly spaced holes. The small site and
strange windows make for problems in keeping the building as is; the small
site makes for problems in building something economically viable there.
