The shareholding of KA is a follows:

The Kenyan Government - 38.2%
Individual Kenyan Shareholders - 31.2%
Foreign Institutional Investors - 30.5% - Includes KLM, Standard, and
Backleys Banks
Individual Foreign Investors - 0.1%

Yes the bulk of the money 69.5% is held by Kenyans. The locals never get to
see it but I few rich folks keep getting richer.

I hope you are having a great time.

Peter,

Greetings from Bangladesh and thanks for the history lesson.

My point was not so much about airline employees. I was thinking more along
the lines of who takes the bulk of the money home. Who makes the financial
decisions for Kenyan Airways and do the profits, if any, stay in Kenya. If
Kenyans control the money for Kenyan Airways, then my congratulations are in
order.

Have a good weekend.

Ann Marie
