I run with Mailwasher 2.0, NAV 2003, Eudora 5.2.09, Zonealarm 3.7.143
running continuously under Windows 98. I have never been able to correlate
a program or action that triggers the spin process. The last time it
happened I was playing Zangband 2.7. I have never left it run more than 5
or 6 minutes.
If some software element has grabbed the disk why does it not release it
when I do a reset rather that a hard power down and up?
I ran the Fujistu test software on the drive yesterday and it cam back with
no problems. By the way, the drive is an MPD3064AT with firmware Rev DD-03-44.
