Subject: [PCBUILD] motherboard identity
Good day list,
I am working on a machine that has an Intel "slot one" motherboard, and
there are no specific identifying features anywhere on the board. (bios
upgrade is what I have in mind) Recently I visited the Intel website and
found a utility that was able to determine the exact board by using the
BIOS string. With outside distractions, I failed to save the web page
into my favorites list, and now I can no longer seem to locate that
page. During POST, the bois string is not displayed long enough to copy
it down.
I have the board narrowed down to these two, but can't be sure:
Intel SE440BX
Intel SE440BX-2
The bios upgrades are different for each board, so getting the exact
upgrade is what I have in mind instead of ending up with a rather large
paper weight!
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Dean Kiley
