I spoke too fast. There may be a single file you need, version 4.10.2222 available from Windows update, or off the Win 98 SE CD. If you know the name of the file, check www.google.com or Windows update

If the Intel site says you need Win 98 SE rather than Win 98 First edition, you'll probably have to do a clean install or an upgrade, altho you can do a clean install from the upgrade CD if you have your original Win 98 CD. Having done the upgrade and a clean install, I would recommend you do a clean install. You can get Win 98 SE from ebay or from www.bigclearance.com. Maybe someone else knows of a workaround for this problem.
