I have a very slow startup speed, and I understand that part of my problem is
that I have too many things on my start-up menu. My PC is a five year old HP
Pavilion 8250, and I've also been told that my system resourses should be at
90%. They are currently about 64%. How do I keep things from automatically
starting up without using safe mode? I also use AOL 7.0, and I've not had
problems before, just since I downloaded the 7.0 version. I sometimes get
the message ""Work Offline" with a description that I'm not currently signed
on to the internet (which I am) and try again, and I get a lot of "Page
Cannot Be Displayed" and "Action Cancelled." My problem is, I don't know how
to stop all these programs that I don't need from starting automatically, as
I'm not really computer literate. I would appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks.
