One of the common threads amongst the findings of Drs. Eades, Cordain, Sears,
and Udo Erasmus is that Paleolithic man consumed a much higher percentage of
Omega-3 Fatty Acids than modern man - in fact, many people today who don't like
fish hardly get any Omega-3 Fatty Acids at all, and are severely deficient.
Adding Omega-3 Fatty Acids to the diet has been shown by recent research to
help a variety of ailments that are usually known as "diseases of
civilization", including arthritis, asthma, allergies and other maladies
involving inflammation, due to its effects on prostaglandins and the hormonal
system.
Changing one's dietary intake as proposed by the adherents of Paleo DIet
creates a health improvement that is essentially free of charge (especially if
you get the books at the library), and the result of that is a drastic
reduction of the income of the medical establishment, since you aren't buying
patentable medicines, and you aren't spending hundreds of dollars on doctor
visits.
This was clear to the medical establishment even back in the nineteenth
century, and thus when the beneficial effects of Omega-3 Fatty Acids were first
discovered and popularized back then, they realized that they needed a massive
campaign of disinformation, otherwise they would face a drastic reduction in
their business. So, they decided to make Omega-3 Fatty Acids synonymous with
fraud, and started the biggest false propaganda campaign of all time.
You see, the substance in the world that has the greatest percentage of Omega-3
Fatty Acids is not fish oil, but snake oil.
For more details on snake oil, see Chapter 56 of "Fats that Heal, Fats that
Kill" by Udo Erasmus, PhD. For more details on Omega-3 Fatty Acids, see the
Erasmus book and also "The Omega-Rx Zone" by Barry Sears, PhD.
