My reading indicates that Neanderthals and Cromagnon didn't interbreed -- at
least according to DNA analysis. I think there were a girl's bones found in a
cave in Spain that did show both neanderthal and Cromagnon traits, but
doesn't seem widespread enough to have left much of a mark on us.
