This will be the first xmas since my children were diagnosed. I've learned how to cook again. We can let go of a lot of the traditional things we do at holiday time, but our family has a huge gingerbread house tradition. I tried the only recipe I've been able to find for gingerbread rolled cookies. The cookie produced didn't seem to be a good structural material. Although they did hold the shape I had cut when baking. They just felt like if they were under pressure as they would be when glued with frosting in a house shape and having the weight of candy ect on them, they would crumble. They tasted good, but tasted as though they go stale quick.
Does anyone on this list make gf gingerbread houses, started with making your own dough?
Thank you,
Betty Cook
