Hi Nancy / Skipper
I had a low TSH and a high T4 but had all the
symptoms of hypothyroidism. Thank goodness my
doctors ignore blood tests, and treat the patient.
I couldn't eat either, couldn't face the thought
of food, and when I did eat it was just a mechanical
action. Finally got diagnosed with Hashimoto's,
started taking thyroxin and am much improved now.
But it's been a long road because my blood pressure went
haywire and I started retaining water as well.
Nancy's comment about hormone imbalance reminded me that
back in 1994 my doctor at that time told me I had a hormone
imbalance and was also in the perimenopause. I asked
wasn't that the same thing, and he said no. But said he couldn't
offer me anything only HRT, so I declined.
I wonder what that imbalance was?
Regards,
Carol
