High dose thyroid requirement is typical of Thyroid Hormone Resistance.
Three types are identified so far: Generalized Thyroid Hormone
Resistance, Selective Pituitary Hormone Resistance, and Selective
Peripheral Hormone Resistance. At least one type produces hyper
symptoms.
