A friend gave me this recipe to share with you.....it's an old family
recipe

Brazil Nut Torte [or almond ]

Preheat oven to 350....grease 3 8" layer pans with butter. [or crisco]
Line bottom of pan with parchment paper, lightly grease

2 cups ground nuts
1 cup sugar [or less]
1/4 teas salt
6 eggs, separated
1 teas vanilla

grind nuts with sugar and salt...set aside
Beat egg yolks until lemony, add vanilla
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Combine egg yolks and nut mixture.
Fold in egg whites carfully.

Pour into prepared pans and bake for 30 min. Remove from pan while
warm.

Altho you can just sprinkle confectioner's sugar on top, you can be
totally decadent as she is by serving with a big glob of whipped cream.

Enjoy!
